NDIS registration and subsequent re-certification

Expanding into NDIS and supporting NDIS registration

Client:
Lutheran Care

Elcies provides evidence-based Positive Behaviour Support and Speech Pathology. It is a service provided by Lutheran Care. The service was borne out of the recognition that there was a suite of NDIS supports (and registration groups) that have synergies with its Lutheran Care's existing suite of services and "hub" service model.  Lutheran Care engaged HealthQ to develop a business model and support the NDIS registration of the new disability business.

Activites Included

  • NDIS market analysis and business case
  • Financial modelling
  • NDIS policy and procedure development
  • NDIS audit preparation and support

Process

Our approach to supporting NDIS registration and re-certification included:

Initial desktop review & risk assessment

Review of NDIS policies & procedures

Compliance sampling and testing

Findings & actions workshop

Management of actions and improvements

Team pre-audit briefing ("what to expect" workshop)

Attendance at audit

Outcome

The business case and strategy were approved by the Board, and Elsie's disability became a NDIS registered provider in 2021.   HealthQ has been asked back to support the mid-term audit and the 2024 re-certification, all of these completed without non-conformities being raised.

You’re a life saver, thank you HealthQ. Our audit report has been returned and we have passed with flying colours!
